PARENTS & PLAYERS

WE MUST ALL ENSURE PLAY IS FOR THE FUN OF THE GAME. 


WE WILL HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE TO ON ICE BEHAVIOR.  


PLEASE READ INFORMATION & RULES IF NEEDED.

 

Coaches/Doormen 

Please remember this is meant to be a FUN environment.

 

Puck drop at the beginning of each shift. 


Players must use their own water bottle. 


This is a recreational league, so the kids can play without having to win.


Coaches are encouraged to teach and help the kids learn the love of the game.


Set-up balanced lines before the game.


Treat every player equally and fair.


Use "off the ice" door and "on the Ice" door so players learn different positions. 


Please enforce zero tolerance on any teasing or harassment. 


OMHA rules enforced.  


4 on 4 format.


1 minute buzzer will be used to ensure fair ice time.  


Instruct kids to just leave the puck when the buzzer sounds and skate hard to the bench.


The 3rd & 4th player coming off must be within the distance of the blueline dot before you let the next line on.


Please promote puck movement. Individual play is not good for the team. 


VIRUS PREVENTION Use your own water bottles and do not drink from others. 


After the game, leave the dressing room as quick as possible.  


Thank you all for participating and volunteering your time for the kids.


DOORMEN, please remain in room until kids are gone to avoid issues please.

RESPECT EACH OTHER 

Players are expected to wear mouth guards properly for their safety. 


Referees have been instructed to prevent any foul, abusive language or behavior with an ejection from the game  if deemed necessary. 


RECREATION HOCKEY

Remember, this is a recreational league to keep you on the ice in the off season.  We encourage you to seek developmental coaches in the off season to improve your game. 


PLAYER RESPONSIBILITY

-NO BODY CONTACT OR CHECKING

-Zero tolerance on rough play and verbal harassment.

-NO SLAP SHOTS

This is at discretion of refs. Sticks raised above knee making contact with the puck for a shot will be whistled and team loses possession of the puck.

Teams consist of 

1 goalie + 14 skaters maximum

 

Any confusion finding your player, please contact us. 


It's never easy trying to build balanced teams with kids from 10 different associations around the surrounding area. We do our best, but team adjustments may take place after game 3.


WE REQUIRE 2-3 VOLUNTEER DOORMEN/team.   

They must monitor players in dressing room before & after the games. 


Harassment, bullying, hazing, etc...will not be tolerated and players involved will be removed from the league.
